i was watching this for last hour or so. timex was playing very tight-aggressive up to this point. whats his thinking/rational here? him and villian do have some history. i forgot the details but a little earlier timex got all in verse villian as a 3 to 1 underdog only to river a naked flush and stay alive in the tournament.

Sometimes timex is...uh.....not good...

meh, his ability to make big calls like this that are right more often than not is what seperates him from most of you.

he thought his pair was good, wanted to gamble? SB played QQ real sneaky!

All I can think right now is "aggressive call."

This is your standard spite call, and the fact he didn't get there by the river is absurd.

ok not the best call ever. I dunno pay structure but at thsi point it should be similar to a sit and go to some degree, which makes a call like this even worse. You need a pretty decent amount of equity to make this call correct in such a situation. Off the cuff I'd say he needs at least 55-57% equity to breakeven.

Given that we have just about 45% equity in our nearly best case scenario of being up against a flush draw with two overcards, this call just can't be right. Even against a flush card with one overcard, which would be a pretty big surprise here, we have only 55% equity. Of course a decent % of the time we will be completely smashed as well.

It might be close from a pure cEV standpoint. 3 handed with these stack sizes cEV =/= $EV and this is a dreadful call.

I think it is a clear fold. I can't imagine someone ever bluffing like this. I think we are crushed by his range. Best case scenario he has some huge draw that we are basically flipping against. We also have to consider that we are about tied for first in chips while 3rd is way behind.

This seems a little uncalled for. I won a 43/57, AK v QQ is a 43/57.

didn't mean any harm. i thought there was a hand in which you were dominated by a stronger ace only to hit a 4 card flush on the river? i could be wrong. anyways, i think you are one of the best players evar, and i was just curious to see what your m.o. was on this bustout hand.

Next time a thread like this gets posted, people should wait a bit before saying that the play was awful so that a bunch of people get to make fools out of themselves trying to justify awful play.
