Oh, and the correct action for the 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif hand, which I thought was kind of interesting.

We had just recombined tables so I hadn't played with Thierry much before then; three handed, we had played a little bit together - I knew he was aggro.

He raised UTG+1 to about 55k, I call in the BB with 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif

Flop 9 /images/graemlins/club.gif 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 5 /images/graemlins/club.gif

He checks, I bet 100k, he calls fairly quickly.

Turn Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif

Checked through

River 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

He leads 200k, I call. He has AJo, ship the chiplead.

Isaac Haxton Is Eliminated in 7th Place

One hand after he lost that huge pot to Theo Tran, Isaac Haxton moved in on the button with {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. But his old nemesis Chad Batista woke up with {A-Clubs}{8-Spades} and made the call. The {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} put Batista in commanding position and the {J-Diamonds} and {5-Hearts} on the turn and river meant that this was indeed the end of Haxton's day. He wins $96,798 for finishing seventh.

Kris Tate eliminated in 6th.
Chad Batista eliminated in 5th

Shawn Hattem Is Eliminated in 4th Place

Michael Graves raised with {A-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Shawn Hattem decided to take his stand with {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. But one seat to his right Shawn Luman woke up with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and moved all-in. Graves stepped out of the way and the {2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} didn't provide Hattem even a glimmer of hope. He takes home $161,330 for finishing today in fourth place.

GG Isaac. GG Shawn.

Go Michael!

This commentary is easily the worst of the WSOP I've seen. They make comments on what play is best and what people should do based entirely upon the hole cards (which obv the players don't know). And whenever Tran is in a hand, Elizabeth's cheering is super-annoying.

dude they are not even right about what to do given the hole cards. lol yea graves should check that river let the due w top pair no kicker turn his hand into a total bluff instaed of valu towning him

Instead of a serious intelligent pro to provide insightful analysis we have a celebrity who seems to have a very little grasp of fundamentals. Add in Joe Hachem's less talented and less articulate little brother to the A+ styling of Howard Davis and this is horrible. I stopped watching after Lilholdem got whacked.

recipro

It's interesting that when Lumen checked two-pair on the river, it was "Wow! You can't play scared!" and he should have bet. But when Michael bet his two-pair on the river, it was a mistake--he should he checked and hoped for a bet.

This commentary is making me dumber.

I was in the big black box today with lilholdem so I havent watched the holecard action but I guess Chad and a few others are watching downstairs now since Chad bustoed and there are some [censored] up hands. Did Graves really fold A2cc on a 544 with 2 clubs board to a bet by Tran?

MikeRice

Hey come back just in time for HU and Howard Davis has been given the axe!!

Kevmath

I'm rooting for Graves to win (hopefully with a suckout) just to hear Hachem/Elizabeth bitch about Theo losing.

And he wins! 65>98.

In a fitting ending, Shannon has no idea what cards are outs for Tran. If only the eight had come like she wanted...

These broadcast final tables have been fun to watch but terrible in terms of commentary overall.

This became like any other sport I watch where I just mute it and listen to music while it's on.

For the sake of posterity:

Michael Graves Wins the $1,000 No-Limit Hold-Em with Rebuys

Graves raised with {6-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Tran called with {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}. The {4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop gave Graves a pair and an open-ended straight draw and Tran a gutshot draw along with his overcards. Graves bet 375,000, and as soon as Tran announced he was all-in Graves made the call.

The {K-Diamonds} on the turn and {10-Diamonds} on the turn missed Tran's hand and Michael Graves, who came to the table with the chip lead and laid low early on before making his move, won the tournament, the World Series of Poker bracelet, and $742,121. Theo Tran, who played a creative and aggressive game and made some remarkable plays down the stretch, takes home $387,193 as our runner-up.

$742K. Very nice score!

Unlike some others you were nothing but class at the table and it was very satisfying to see a genuinely good guy have such a nice score. It was good to meet and play with you and Shawn Hattem both, really nice guys and very strong players, obv. Congrats again and gl in the future.
