finally. the bonus is cleared.

and i only lost 7 dollars doing it over the course of some 13000 hands. mostly 2/4 and some 1/2 thrown in.

now lets never speak of that online pokerroom again! ever!

awesome. I went to try and work on it some more at 1/2, but i'm about to give up on it honestly.

Ya I played ~ 14,000 hands at PokerRoom for a bonus, mostly .5/1, some 1/2

Finishd up like $250 + the $300 bonus so no complaints

(hate the software, hate the rake, never going back)

^^^ I guess those are complaints

does the software always crash every hour for you? the nl players seem sorta bad, but i can't play there because of the crappy software. maybe its just my crappy computer though.

The software is resource intensive, I have a very good machine and 4 tabling was taxing it severly. Anyone with a lower end or older PC should avoid PokerRoom like the plauge.

I never had any crashes but PR's servers are pretty crappy so there was lag at times.

Congrats on completing the bonus!

Unfortunately, I had an unexpected lack of an internet connection when I moved at the end of December... There's no way I'm going to be able to complete that bonus now.

I'm going to cash out and say bye-bye to that PR crapola. Can't win 'em all, I guess. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah, open four tables (the max) and turn a decent PC into an Apple II.

worst two weeks of poker of my life. now I'm a party VIP, yah!

pikkupossu
02-23-2006, 09:02 AM
yeah i LOVED the software and how it would randomly disconnect, and then the hand histories would be screwed for the rest of the session. usually around every session that went over 2h for me would involve the HH going poof.

i'll miss the warning slow connection, and then seeing the software kick me off 3 of my 4 tables.

and i'll miss the rock garden of 2/4

wait, never mind...

time to become party VIP

I wouldn't even attempt this bonus at any level below 2/4. According to my data, 3/6 is MUCH better for clearing this bonus, if you can swing it.

2/4 = 2900 total hands = $200 bonus (2000 points)
3/6 = 1800 total hands = $200 bonus (2000 points)

I tried doing this one a while ago at 2/4. I gave up completely after a few hundred hands. Very slow clearance and I didn't care for the software either.

So far this is the only sign up bonus that I have given up on.

There is no max on the # of tables. Once you have 4 open you need to be on waiting lists to get more open. I've had up to 9 without a problem.

I just cleared the Eurobet signup at 2/4. It took 9000 hands for the $600. According to BW clearance rates, at 3/6 it's about 1/3 faster.

It's 5 max there. And I'm in the minority in this thread but I have no problems with their software and find the bonuses clear faster than most sites. Rake structure does suck though.

I'm less than 400 points away from clearing the Eurobet $600 bonus.
Had no software problems. But I did have wild swings playing 2/4 full, 1/2 full and a little 1/2 5 max. As it stands right now I'm down about $30 on poker. It's been a fairly frustrating marathon for me, but I'd probably do other bonuses on this network.

Just finished the whole $600 bonus (2/20) playing mostly 1/2 and a few $10 and $20 SNG's. I calculated how much I had to play per day a month ago, and pretty much kept to the schedule. 50% rakeback for tourneys - not bad, plus I dont think I ran into one person that has ever used SNGPT.

+$397 (mostly tourneys), +$600 bonus.

Actually, I played a little 6-max there. I sometimes see one table of 6-max occasionally. But yeah, there's mostly 5-max.

The rake is brutal there on limit games unless you're doing the bonus. From memory, that bonus is like 35% (?) rakeback at 6M and 70% at FR.

my computer grinds to a halt with more than 6 tables, but 6 tables of 3/6 and 5/10 clears about $50/hr in bonus...I like it

Really I found it quite profitable. I think I made more than the bonus. It wouldn't be far off. $500 profit at least plus bonus.

I've never crashed, but the lag you speak of is hard to tolerate after playing at a faster site. Other people at the table do crash, though, so the number of players who timeout is very high, forcing everyone else to sit and wait frequently. This gets tiresome pretty fast for me.

Uncle Wimp
02-24-2006, 08:14 AM
I only learned it by accident one day when I put myself on ten waiting lists and then wondered why these tables were mysteriously opening an hour later.

I must be a masochist.

I've got about 200 points to go to clear the $600 bonus. That's about 1000 more hands.

I've made about $600 in profit, playing primarily at .5/1, and dipping down to .25/.50 when I went on a 200BB slide. So far, I'm down $11 for the month of February.

I like PR, but this bonus took way too long to clear. I'm promising myself never to clear a bonus at a PR skin that is more than 7x. The halloween HoldemPoker bonus was 7x, and not much of a problem for me to clear.

I'm also going to focus more on the smaller, but quicker clearing bonuses in the future. This last slide has taught me the importance of having an overly large bankroll.

i couldnt even begin (seriously) to imagine what it would be like to clear that bonus playing 0.5/1.00

thats like....

wait wait, i know the perfect analogy. if it takes 1000 hands to clear 200 points, thats 30000 hands at 0.5/1.00 to clear the 600 dollar bonus.

30000 hands at 0.50/1.00 on any site for any reason, is like masturbating without the payoff.

god. i love that analogy.

There is actually a loophole to open more than 4 tables. after you have 4 tables going, just pur yourself on the waiting list of another table. it'll oio-up when there is an open seat an get around the 4-table max rule. I've been 6-tabling 1/2 there to get through this thing.
