Hey all, first post in B&M. I'm heading to Atlantic City with a few friends and will be there from Thursday night to Sunday Morning. Two questions I have are:

1) How is the nightlife in AC in the winter? Are there any good places within walking distance (or a short bus ride) from the casinos?

2) Does anyone have any information regarding the Jitney bus? As of right now it looks like it will be my main mode of transportation besides my feet unless others tell me it isn't a good shuttle service.

Thanks.

Oh, and how much are drinks in the AC casinos usually? Just a tip like Vegas or more?

Jitneys are $2.00 and go to all of the casinos on the boardwalk and the marina district. You may have have to wait awhile for them (they also fill up quickly, they only hold about 12 people), but they are good. They run 24 hours a day.

However, a taxi can only charge you up to $11.00 within Atlantic City bounds, so if you are in a large group, it is worth it to take a taxi. It will be faster.

At the Borgata you have choices: Gypsy, Mixx, B. I would settle there for Saturday night. I am not impressed by the Casbah but it does get loaded on the weekend. My favorite spot is Missile which is upstairs at the Cuba Libre (Trop), it has a little bit of a frat party vibe but in a good way. Worship is the new spot, seems to draw an ethnic/urban crowd so this pale white boy hasn't been there yet. You'll def want to spend a night at the Trop bar-hopping Cuba, 32 degrees, Irish Pub etc..
