villain is like 55/20/1 played a similar hand with him prior to this one where he bluffed a missed gutshot on the river after i checked the turn

The turn bet pretty much commits you, and I think it's fine.

On the river, I would call.

Meh, you probably have to call, even tho your hand is pretty weak, and I think you played it OK up to the river. But, there's not much EV either way on the end.

id bet the turn on the first hand to get more info/use the scare card

on the second hand, its hard cuz i see two situations, situation one: he really had a 7 and hes a douche for calling your turn bet and
situation 2: he slowplayed massive pockets even though there is a flush draw on the table

Surprise situation 3: Nl 10 players slow play they re sets till the river so many times i consider it a classic move...so i fold this hand sorry !
