Have not been at table long. UTG seems solid and table is typically tight, no kookies so far.

I know I am going to get ZOMG repop pre, but I would like to hear some circumstances when you simply call w/AK pre.

never coldcalling AKo pf oop w/ 2 other players already in the pot. I check the flop, ans see what utg/button do.

Raise pre-flop. But you already knew that. C/r flop with a PSB.

Checks. I'm not sure what you're confused about, but at least you realize how bad PF is.

So you're checking the flop with perhaps the best hand and a likely 14 outs, and calling anything < PSB?

I agree, mistake here. I am trying to determine if there are any circumstances in 6max for calling...trapping an aggressive sb, inducing shove from lagtard, etc?? Or is this too FPS at this level.

Edit: looks like no one is leading the flop?

If i'm coldcalling AK preflop, i'm usually only doing it in position.

Raise preflop.
As played I would check-call the flop and re-evaluate on the turn.

3bet preflop.. c/r this flop or lead... both are good

-Our hand is disguised
-We are still a favorite against a large portion of their preflop ranges ( although button is more of a concern with this flop IMO)
Is this thinking too optimistic or just plain wrong?

Didn't know this was 100% absolutely always a check.

Anyhoo,

Against a thinking player HU when trying to mix it up...but still very rarely.
