Villain's preflop stats were like 17/15 when this hand went down. My options on the flop were to either checkraise or check/call/lead, and I generally prefer the latter option, although that might be a leak. Thoughts?

Looks fine to me. A good spot to float against this kind of opponent. He just happened to actually have cards. Nh.
