Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter (http://www.legopoker.com/hh))

SB: $117.25
BB: $39.35
UTG: $22.55
MP: $41.30
Hero (CO): $49.25
BTN: $115.45

Reads: SB is on my buddylist and one of reasons I am at table. He is 43/10/8 over ~200 hands. He is on the list not because of stats, but rather he is very bad postflop. He does not read others hands well or hardly at all and has a tendency to bet big on bluffs/semibluffs and bet small(sometimes 1/10th pot) on made hands. My other notes on him say that he has RR me 3 times pre-flop(this is all 200 hands). Two min raises and 1 ~pot sized.

UTG recently joined table and is calling every hand pre-flop. Looks like a typical bad shorty, but too few hands to know for sure.

Preflop: Hero is dealt J/images/graemlins/club.gif J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (6 Players)
UTG calls $0.50, MP folds, Hero raises to $2.50, BTN folds, SB calls $2.25, BB folds, UTG calls $2.00

Flop: ($8) T/images/graemlins/club.gif J/images/graemlins/heart.gif Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 Players)
SB checks, UTG bets $3.00, Hero raises to $11.00, SB raises all-in to $114.75, UTG calls all-in for $17.05, Hero has $35.75 left.

Aren't you getting like 3.5 to 1 odds to call this?

I have to call. With all your reads, he could be doing this with just about anything and you have outs if he has the nut straight.

*More like 2.39 to 1. There are far too many 2 pair hands & draws out there to fold given those odds. I'm sure if you Pokerstove it, a call would be correct.

Agreed, this is a pretty easy call, SB doesn't need a made hand to make this move considering the SB couldn't predict that UTG would make a call, he was probably trying to push him out of the pot. Now that his money is in too, I think you've got to go with it.

Seems like the consensus is easy call. Even when I pokerstoved villains with a tighter range than what is realistic, I still had ~30% equity. Which is a little deceiving because sometimes I will lose to shorty and win against sb, which results in only a small loss for the hand. With a more realistic hand range, its an easy call. I was thinking it was a closer decision than it really was.

Anyways here is the result:

Hero calls $35.75 (All-In).

Turn: ($189.55) A/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players, 2 all-in)

River: ($189.55) 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (3 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $189.55

Results:
SB has Qc Td (two pair, queens and tens).
UTG has 3s Qs (one pair, queens).
Hero has Jc Jd (three of a kind, jacks).
Outcome: Hero wins $121.55. SB wins $68.
