Can you make a profit in 10NL?

Hey guys, I just signed up to these forums and I've just started playing poker online on a regular basis about a month ago. I was wondering how hard it is to overcome the rake in 10NL on Full Tilt Poker. I see these thousand dollar pots in the high stakes that only rake for 50 cents, yet when i win a 17 dollar pot, its raking in around 2-3 dollars. Is anyone out there overcoming the rake at 10NL?

lol. i never have..... ive been playing for a year and a half (?) and i have not really become a winning player... i play drunk way too often but if when i won a huge pot there wasnt so much rake taken out then maybe i would have a little more leeway. the reason the rake is so low on high stakes games is
a. incentive to play that high
b. the games are really short handed so they play a lot of hands a pay a lot of rake
c. i assume other wise their rake back would be TOO sick

gl.... if you arent winning at 10nl mve up to where they respect your raises

I think most people use NL10 as a stepping stone to build their roll to handle NL25 rather than a source of side-income.

My plan is to never touch NL5-10 again after I'm rolled for NL25 (I'm thinking at least $500, although I'll take some shots with $350ish most likely).

I am about 100% sure that the example stated is flawed. One can definately beat the rake at NL10.

FTP rake like 10% at the $10 level, which is scandalous.
I was a 5PTBB/100 winner at those stakes on stars, after a rake of 5%, but if the rake were 10% I would have barely broken even. My advice is to either move up or play elsewhere.

If the rake really is that high, I would suggest switching sites too.

don't play $10nl at FTP, the 10% is ridiculous. Even with rakeback you should be playing at Stars.
