Simple question, the situation i find myself in would be a 4x raising button, and then AQ os on the SB, is it too loose to raise, id defiitely not call....tleast thats my line

I'd definitely raise ATs+ and AQo+, sometimes more depending on the villain.

[/ QUOTE ]it's not loose, it's standard. it's too tight if you're doing something else.

ok, but then the real doubt situation comes when the opponent calls, and then the flop misses my AQ - i do not have position, and we are sure the villain will CBEt....hypothetically i would CBET the flop if texture was not totally out there of course.

I definitely run into this problem as well. I know smooth calling the raise makes my play weak and passive, however I cannot justify why raising would be correct OP either. Any thoughts?

my thoughts go back to simply folding PF, i see the money line here being to thin to break positive profit out of this hand...but im unsure, what if we cbet the flop out of position? id prob do that only if i had 2 overcards ( no kings) on flop and texture was low.

If you guys aren't 3-betting a button open raiser, you're losing money. Also you should be a King, you can rep AK and get 88 to fold. Only thing to remember:
1. Reraise button raisers w/premium hands
2. c-bet the flop
3. Profit.

Wow you guys play way too weak tight. I always 3town with AQ and cbet 100% of the flops.
