This is fine, I'd much rather do it with suited connectors or even gap suited connectors just because if my flop bet gets called I have a much better idea of where I stand rather than if I flop TP with a hand like KQo and have to figure out if I am good or not

I usually fold KQo in this position, but it's good enough to take a stand with (especially if you have a read on BTN that he steals a lot, 40% is certainly high for these stakes).

Definitely cbet this flop. He probably gives you credit for JJ+, AQ+ so you take this down tons.
