Only read is that villain just lost a $50 pot against 4 of a kind, and seems to maybe be tilting. What are your thoughts? This is like the 15 hand at the table for me. I probably should have raised the flop but I wanted him to throw out another bet on the turn, but now the K has scared me.

Yeah I think you definitely have to raise this flop, as you should be well ahead of his range. If he calls a flop raise, then focus on pot control on the turn and river.

if you raise the flop you have thrown pot control out of the window

Yeah, you should have raised the flop. I would call this turn and see what he does, probably calling river as well. Just lost the last hand?

Actually I called the turn and he shoved the river for like $16 more and I thought till my time was almost up and called. He did it with 89 off. I wasn't sure about the play even though I won.

So is it almost never correct to just call the flop in this spot? My plan was to raise or bet on the turn but the K scared me with him betting out like that.

calling this flop doesnt suck at all. if u are going for maximum profits here and not best play then i think u played this 100% correct. in the same spot against some1 who i thought is tilting i would probably play the same, cept i mite wimp out on turn and fold. nh imo

If you believe that he is tilting, I dont mind your play at all. Sometimes a flop minraise will work well here bc he'll shove a huge portion of hands. The K is kinda irrelevant man. I mean you lose to KJ now or some random bluff where he has a K.

I like your avatar, rampage is a bad dude.

the fact that he may be tilting is another reason not to raise this dry flop
