Did I play this too hard? I can't imagine he has AQ with my big raise PF. What about the J? It's scary but I don't think I can slow down here. I put the guy on AK or KK actually. Any tips appreciated.

Well, I could easily see someone calling that raise with AQ; they shouldn't necessarily call, but they also shouldn't be raising 16BB pre-flop.

That said, I'd normally put him on a mid-large pair (TT-JJ, if he has QQ, well, tough luck). KK he'd probably re-raise. The flop call is consistent with having a pair like that. After that point, you're obviously pushing the turn. Nice hand.

at higher levels i might advocate a c/f on turn, but here he could have any pocket pair so just stick it in

At this level, I don't think I'm folding very often when I get 20% of my stack in pre-flop w/ AA. NH

I think this is a pretty solid play at most levels - even to mid stakes!
