looks fine to me I do the same. I guess you lost here though, did he have 2 pair or something?

He had JJ. I'm wondering whether the donkbet on the turn should have been a sign that I was behind?

The flatcall on the flop made me think he had something like AJ or KJ; I'd expect a re-raise from two pair. It makes sense that it's a set, though, I suppose.

Alot of the times especially at 25max players show up with TPGK and considering how dry the board is getting it in on the turn is standard. Granted, if villain was 5/1//1 or something nitty a fold could be possible.

Also, Gregg do you play under the same name on stars? I thought i was playin with a player with a name similar to yours.Mine's mrbumpkin

Yep, I sure do. I was at a few of your tables the other night. You were sitting there with a billion dollars on every table if I recall, hehe.

raise 8 on flop. Way to get it in.

Relativity (and others),

I seem to frequently get corrected on the size of my raises in hands (not so much or so frequently the size of my bets). I haven't found anything in the stickies related to this subject. Is there a general rule for sizing here?

not that I'm aware of, but think of it like this. When you raise to 6 there's 11.75 in the pot, the villain only has to call 4 to win 11 whereas if you raised to 8 there's 13.75, but he has to call 6. I could even see raising 10 here.

I think a raise of 6 is fine here as the board is pretty dry
