villain is a multi tabling TAG. We don't have much history but it seems like he played it like a jack (?). Anyway, spew or fine?

Like a Jack?

Do you normally bet that big on the river?

meh, i'm never betting less than 13, and never more than 16. 14 probably would have been a better number to bet there though.

spew, he also could have played AK this way, or a variety of other pocket pairs.

8 6 off = FOLD PF. As played however, I really think this is borderline spew. If you think you can pull him off a Queen then by all means bet that river when he checks. 8 6 O is a hand that really gets you nowhere and playing it just gets you into trouble / bluff happy lines that can go either way.

Folding preflop is bad IMO

and i can't see villain calling the turn and folding the river with many hands tbh

hero is on the button goddamnit, preflop is perfectly fine. i tend to check turn back, but if i bet turn i'd bet river too.

I don't really like this because you haven't really represented a hand so much as you have represented a "sweet I just caught runner runner" which is a whole lot less believable than "ace flops and I bet two barrels having raised pre" - the latter is obviously more likely to fold out a worse hand, but in this example, I think its too much of a stretch to put you on the flush, and any hand with a K in it isn't going to bet this river with the flush out there.

What are you trying to represent?

[/ QUOTE ]yeah i totally agree. the points you exhibit in your post just make it impossible to believe that this could be a good spot to 3barrell. I really learned something reading your post, ty.

Well, if he called both the flop and the turn with a mid pair, this should push him out, as well as probably QJ. But it's hard to say how much of his range that accounts for. If all you have is stats suggesting he's a TAG, I don't especially like this approach, because you need to have a better sense of how he plays and what his range could be before you try to run him over.
