There are obviously lots of ways to play this hand, raise preflop, smooth call flop etc.

What do you think is the correct play for this hand?

Well you're obv not getting any more value out of this hand. He doesn't have anything. You might want to just call flop...but raising is fine too. Again, might want to bet turn, but you're not going to get any more value. River looks like a very weak bluff, which makes it seem like he was going to fold to any bets on previous streets from you.

I would bet the turn and expect him to shove a lot of the time.

I was thinking about that, but I thought it was probably better to check and induce a bluff on the river. Guess I should have tried to induce a large turn check raise bluff.

Bet the turn. He's a lot more likely to give you credit for a huge hand if you check behind on the turn and then spring on him on the river.
