This happened fairly early in the session, and I'd only played about 20 hands with villain. Pretty sure its a call and reevalute but I'd like to hear what others think. FWIW my range for villain was 77, 55, K w/ flush draw combos (KJ, KT, KQ, AK + Kx rarer).

I just dont see how you fold this. You dont wanna see AK/AA/KK. and if he called pf with 55/77 make a note. I've seen KJ here enough to make it a shove for sure IMO. Calling is the worst option.

I actually did shove and he had 77. I guess I questioned the play at the time because I figured if we had 12 outs a marginal call could be swung...but with the size of the pot and the strength of our hand, we have more than enough equity to stick it in now. Thanks guys.

I prefer a fold here. However, if you're going to play the hand, then the only move is to shove.

You should discount having any FE here. Villain has put in almost 50% of your stack and is rarely folding. So forget about FE and think about how many possible outs you have. We probably don't have three full ace outs. AK or set is possible so let's say we have two. We have eight flush outs as we shouldn't count the K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. So we have around 10 outs.

Still, if this is the worst place you ever put your money you're doing okay. Worst case scenario is you have 8 outs and have to worry about villain redrawing.
