yeah youŽre right. you induced a bluff on the turn so youŽll have to call here as the river is a brick.

If you raise flop, raise it bigger

The problem with this overbet on the river is that we really have to believe there is a high probability of a bluff here. We're not getting good odds, only around 1.7:1. Does villain bluff here 58% of the time?

Of course, if you played it more aggressively you probably wouldn't have to make that decision on the river. Raise the flop biger, like $8-$9. Bet the turn, you're most likely ahead here. Since you raised small and didn't bet the turn, you really have no information on the river. Sure this could be a busted diamond draw, but it could be two pair.

I don't call the river unless villain's river AF is very high, FWIW.

Reraise preflop - around 6 is fine. Bet flop and bet turn.
When you check turn you almost have to pay him off on the river as you induced a bluff.

Annoyingly, AQ (whiffed turn checkraise) seems entirely possible, and a hand like 77 can't be ruled out, but I would call here, hoping that Villain is bluffing a bust (big diamonds) or, more likely, also has an ace and thinks he has me outkicked. Discouragingly, though, the bet does seem kind of big for a worse ace.
