50NL - totally lost on this hand

I really hate the way I played this hand. I had raised the past 3 out of 5 hands (with the goods) and I think villain was getting fed up. Any advice on how I could've played this better?

Don't put in more than 10% of your stack with 88 OOP. 5.5 on the river as a blocking bet is too weak and spewy. Did Ax call you?
