Villain (UTG) is 52/21 over 23 hands

I sized the bet on the turn so that it was callable, and so my AI on the river would be less than pot-sized. Is there a better line than this? More on the turn?

Hmm I think a push is a little over the top, I think you played this great up until the river, and even still he may call there sometimes if hes a big calling station - you never know for sure.

You may have wanted to try a bet half the size of the pot or even a little less because at this point you are just trying to milk this hand for all its worth. You are giving him approximately 2 to 1 on the river which is reasonable but a bet of say 2.75-$3 into a $7 pot would give him more like 3:1 which could be good enough odds to merit a call.

I'm not necessarily saying that some dude w/ a VPIP of 50 is strictly considering pot odds but even if he had a jack I doubt its AJ because he probably would have re-raised at some point(flop/turn) unless hes calling pot sized bets for 2 pair value or some other really poor play. So hes got to think at best you have him outkicked and at worst hes totally screwed.

Nice hand. He's calling with Jx 100% of the time. If he's capable of folding A7, 78+, etc., I don't think he's calling $3-4 either. Push is good.

I don't know how much more often he is calling the 2 than the 3. It doesn't seem like it would be 33% more often. 3 seems better on the turn and then the push on the river is a whole lot less.

Last question... as played with the turn bet, should I try to get all the chips in, or do you think a smaller value bet shows a better profit?

It seems I've been trying to get it all in too much on the river, and missing some value on the end that would really help my win rate.

Whats Villains stack size ?
I think i Bet 2.50 on the turn.
I think the all in on the river is fine - at this level people pay you off often enough to make it profitable.
Otherwise played fine.

I like the push. A lot of times these guys will just call you down with pure [censored] and then fold the river to continued aggression. If he's folding to the push, he's likely folding to a bet of $1. push is good, he'll call if he actually has a piece.

Agreed, push is fine, it's not an overbet so people will still call a lot.

id like to bet a little more on the turn like 3 so a river push is a little smaller... but imo itīs fine
