Villain is 22/18/3.5 large sample. Should I slow down and c/c river? For how much?

Raise the turn, should be enough in the pot to CRAI.

If he has 55, this is what is known as a cooler.....in other words you are not getting away from it on this dry of a board.

I 3bet this flop. As played, turn is an easy check raise all in. Nothing to do on the river except get it all in.

I'm running into this kind of situation a lot, and it's one aspect of my game I'm trying to work on. So take these thoughts with a grain of salt since I'm no expert...

...but it seems Villain has an overpair, overcards, or perhaps even an OESD every once in a while. Based on his flop raise and leading the turn, I'd guess his range to be 88+, JTs, KJs+, KQo, ATs+ AJo+. Unless he has exactly JT or QQ, you're still way in the lead and he'll probably be betting enough to put you all in anyway (~1/2 pot), so I don't think the c/c line would make much difference... and since the adage is to bet it if you would call it anyway, your play seems ok. If he has 88/99, I think you just have to pay him.

It seems like there's a good argument to CRAI on the turn, but presumably you didn't since you thought you'd extract more by waiting on the river bets. If that's the way you played the hand, I think you have to lead fifth street.
