villian is 23/5/1 after 300 hands seems pretty passive for the most part, have seen him not 3bet AK and JJ before

i reckon this is worth 3 streets of value. he may be passive, but that can mean he calls too much rather than folds. it depends on how he plays Ax though. I'd bet 1/2 P and hope he's a calling with A9.

Four hands beat you: AA, KK, JJ &amp; QT, all of which could play this line (although KK &amp; JJ are obviously less likely as you hold one of each). His read on your play could affect his play. Has he seen you lay down good hands before this? My common play is to bet about 1/3 pot, trying to look like I want a call &amp; hope to get a showdown. Things become a bit sticky if button reraises. You then just have to go with your instincts.
