So, villian is basically unknown here other then what you can assume from him having a small stack. I assume that he will call with TP+ and the FD but fold everything else. You like this play or is it spew?

I don't like it vs this shortstack. What do you think he'll call a PSB on the flop with and then not call all-in on the turn with, 76?

I think he calls most of the time and shows a Q FTW here.

EDIT: And even if he doesn't have a Q here, I think his equity when he calls this and is behind is > than your equity when he calls and his ahead; in other words he can draw out on you easier than you can draw out on him.

Also, I think he calls here more than you think, due to being shortstacked.

Against an unknown OOP I'm not firing a second barrell especially when a second over card hits to our nines on the turn. If you're going to do this then you bet way too much on turn. I'd bet more like $13. I bet less on the flop too.

if you think he will call with any Q or FD this is definately spewy. what are you folding that you beat? TT!

I hate getting frisky OOP on 2FD boards since they're so great to draw on.

overbetting nasty too.

he might fold some queens and some FDs here but basically I wait for a read before two barrelling in this situation.

I personally don't have a huge problem with the flop bet, although it is a touch on the overbet side. If hands were going to fold, I think a 2/3 pot bet (~$4ish) would do the trick. Once CO calls, I would slow down a touch on the turn, esp. after another overcard comes off. A 1/3 to 1/2 pot bet (~$10) would tell you all you need to know. I c/f if called and fold if r/r.

I wonder if a c/r on flop would get TP to fold. It's hard to tell w/ new player. Probably not. ABC poker probably best.

yeah I don't like it. This is basically a super-thin valuebet if you think about it.
