looks good, you have to call any river bet though.

is this really that standard? any river bet?

suprisingly perhaps this is not a results orientated post, so i'd value some more comments.

i just don't see much that we beat.

what about if we hold JQ or TQ?

Seems OK. I'd also think about raising the flop to give poor odds if either opponent had a flush draw. On the turn, though, call is good.

This is okay. Raising the flop is also fine.

k that seems unanimous then, i was worried i was being too passive.

results:

we checked the river, and he showed a medium pocket pair.

I typically raise the flop for control of the pot, and for value. AQ is likely to 3bet preflop, Q3/Q2 aren't likely to call at all.

More importantly, AQ/Q2/Q3/22/33 almost never donkbet here. Typical fish almost always slow play them and check to the preflop raiser. This is an extremely reliable assumption, trust me.

More likely for villain is like weak queens, pocket pairs, diamonds, 45, random stupid bluffs, etc.

I raise for value here because I think we are usually good.

Turn card sucks cuz a reasonable part of villains range was diamonds. I'd call/evaluate river.

I usually raise the flop, esp when I was preflop raiser.

I call the turn and see what he does on the river.

Would you raise the flop to 6 or 8.50? If we raise the flop, what do we do on a blank turn? We would have $16-18 left in a 14.5-18.5 pot. It looks like a shove is in order. If a diamiond rolled off on the turn, we have to check behind. If we check behind how big of a river bet can we call?

If I raised the flop and we saw a blank turn it would be a difficult judgement call. I would probably still think I was ahead, (even if i wasn't i would probably have to pay off if i checked the turn), so I'd shove for protection and thin value i think.

i'd maybe call a half pot bet on the river if we checked a diamond turn. mainly this would be to stop me getting bluffed, but I don't know how valid that is for uNL.
