Its made it through a Senate commitee, and it looks like the House will pass it. The Governor however, may veto the bill.

I like the way they worded it here.

(2) "Promotional poker tournament" means a banking or percentage game
2 which is played with cards for money, property, or any thing of value and which is
3 commonly referred to as "Texas hold 'em poker".

The word percentage is leaning twords the skill side. No?

I think Louisiana has more pressing needs, but this doesn't hurt either.

Why? Is Ms. Blanco one of those old school Dixiecrats who would rather lynch African Americans than fight for civil liberties?

Jindal's a religious right-wing nutcase though, so I don't see how he'll do anything to help you play poker legally.

Well, this is the worst state to play poker in... I sincerely hope online poker becomes legal there. Seriously, its currently a felony!
