No usable stats on villain, however I've been aggressive at the table winning many of the pots I've been in with PFR and cbets, done it to this guy 3 times before this hand came up. Should I consider 3betting the flop or folding? How is my turn push?

Looks good too me. I will call that miniraise from the shortstack since you have the implied odds that he will pay you off if you hit. If your hand improves to either 2 pair or st8, then you can continue. As played I like your turn action.

sounds like he had 9T.

I don't think there is any way you can 3 bet the flop with middle pair and a gutshot - when he re-raises his range would be an overpair, a set, TPTK, 2 pair, or a made straight, as well as 9T, nearly all of which has you crushed. However I agree that his min raise is too small to fold to.

On the turn I don't think you can really get away from it because of this guys stack size, and I like the push - I hope he had TT.

Shortstack isn't really all that deep, he has half our stack-size, so there aren't great implied odds. If BB is passive then this is probably a fold on the flop. As played, get it in on the turn.

Implied odds was the wrong term...what I ment by that statement was that he would most likely be willing to get the rest in as most shortstackers will sack off lighter than a full buyin regular.

I mentioned the cbet thing to try to indicate the possibility that this player was becoming frustrated with me, and that he could make that flop raise with a wide range of hands. I guess his range isn't quite wide enough to justify a 3 bet though, what if I had 86/85/9T though?
