1/2, effective stacks 200, villain is pretty passive, stats like 30/5/2. Generally plays fit-or-fold.

I pick up 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif5/images/graemlins/heart.gif in the CO and raise to 7, villain calls.

Flop 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif5/images/graemlins/spade.gif He checks, I bet 12, he calls.

Turn 7/images/graemlins/club.gif He checks, I bet 28, he calls. (Anyone check here? I think he's CRing basically never so I figure get some value.)

River 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif He bets 58.

Yes, fairly dirty.

I think this is a closer decision than everyone is implying. I should have noted that he is not a SD monkey - something like 20 WTSD. Anyway, my thinking was 88, 87, and 44 bet and call me, a 6 bets and probably folds, and a lone 7 bets and probably folds, but probably doesn't bet this much (not this player).

I think everyone just assumes (maybe incorrectly) that 30/5 stats = terrible player that will never fold a 6 here.

Pushing here is thinner than has been implied in this thread, but I believe its still superior to calling

there are so many worse hands that the villian will call with here which make this a mandatory push. he will call with 44, 66, 76 and 96ss which are all in his range. he might even talk himself into calling with A7ss or 97ss. obv you are going to see 87, 77 or 88 here from time to time but imo you are giving up too much value by just calling.

Come on dude, you're getting called by lots of [censored]. And it's not the end of the world if he has a higher boat, you carry no risk of being reraised given stack sizes.

i always believe people that donk the river. I think 87 is more likely then a 6 here.

some very smart people don't approach this game with math in mind and that's obviously a huge leak

His range is pretty wide here. You have like 90 behind his 58 bet, so this is an easy push. If you have 200bbs this becomes interesting.

I think the times he has a 6 in his hand AND plays it by c/c c/c and donk river is less likely then the times he has 87 AND plays it by c/c c/c and donk river.

I see donks take this line with a 6 a lot. "Oh crap, I can't lead the turn, because he'll put me on the straight and fold, so I'll just call. Okay good he bet, but if I checkraise he'll put me on the straight and fold. I know, I'll just call and donk the river! He'll have no idea what I have then!"
