I'm trying to mix my game up a bit, and this felt like a good spot to push people off of a pot.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
5 players
Converter (http://www.neildewhurst.com/hand-converter)

Stack sizes:
UTG: $140.20
CO: $51.05
Herockstar: $49.25
SB: $49.50
BB: $53.35

Pre-flop: (5 players) Herockstar is Button with 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif
UTG folds, CO raises to $1, Herockstar calls, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop: 2/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif K/images/graemlins/heart.gif ($3.25, 3 players)
BB bets $0.5, CO raises to $3, Herockstar raises to $8, BB calls, CO folds.

Turn: A/images/graemlins/club.gif ($22.25, 2 players)
BB checks, Herockstar...

What now? What about throughout?

Sure why not, I like it bet $15.

Based on his flop play he will probably be scared of the A

Hate it. Make it like 12$ and I'll hate it less.

Raise more on the flop.
Preferably all-in.
It makes the turn and river easier to play.

Edit: Damn you guys are quick!

As played id bet like $15 on the turn with that scare card. I agree with creamfillin tho, gotta pop it higher on the flop, 12$ should be good.

If you're going to try this then you should be raising to $12-15 on the flop, no less. As played, bet $18-20 on the turn, the Ace was a great card for you.

I would rather make that play as a semi- bluff. It sure did work out well though, bet $20.

If you are going to bluff the flop, bluff more.

I give up on the turn because you cold-called on the button so that limits your range of aces, and your aggression on the flop indicates you already have something, so it seems unlikely the A would help you. BB called a 3-bet so it doesn't seem much like he is going anywhere. If he's really bad maybe he does this with a draw, but that depends on your reads.

Not a good board IMO to try to make this play, ppl way overplay their draws, and can't let go of TP, especially when they can think that you have the draw. I would fire the turn in this spot, the ace is a good card to fire on, although this hand is pretty spewy in general.

What is with everybody. I hate this bluff on the flop. It looks bad...very bad.

As played I think betting the turn is good. And if he calls I think a triple barrel may even be order if the river's not a diamond.

Wow, turns out it wasn't as crazy psycho of a play as I had thought. Interesting. I'm uncomfortable with it mainly because I decided to do it after the flop, rather than setting the tone preflop. Guess I need to get more comfortable with larger bets, too.

As played, I felt the Ace was a great card for me, bet $12 on the turn, took it down.
