I had a couple of AA hands in my last session that I need some help with. I suspect I'm playing them too strongly. Help is appreciated.

He's pretty unlikely to be on a draw and maybe more likely to be trapping/letting me hang myself? There are some more draws now but none that are likely for a preF raiser. At the time I was still hoping he had KK-TT and he'd pay me off.</font>

i prolly bet 2.25 - 2.5 on the first hand on the flop and raise slightly more pf.

other than that i play them both absolutely the same.

standard, you played them well. might wanna post this in FR.

1) dont fold AA in a RR pot at 10nl.

2) dont fold AA to a shortstack.

I probably raise only slightly more preflop in both cases, and I might bet a little more on the flop in hand 1. These seem like quibbles though and really I think these are both fine.

Two very well played hands.

Hand 1: The flop bet is fine for a 3-bet pot and sets you up nicely for a turn push.

Hand 2: You're going to raise the flop and against a deeper stacked villian you might raise less. But against a short stack you're calling pretty much anything he bets on the turn regardless of what comes if you just make your "normal" raise, so you might as well put him all-in now.

you played them right. Betting like 1/2 pot in the first hand would be a bad move, its a great way to let people draw out on you.

The board shows nothing on the first one so to me you're trying as much as possible to make it look like a continuation bet, so a little more 2.25, 2.50 - other than that I do much the same.

For those curious about the result:

In hand one villain has pocket 8s for a set, beating my overpair AA.

In hand two villain flopped a straight but I runner runner a full house so things work out. 8)
