Villain is 22/19/6 over 55 hands
Hero is 15/6/2

Is shoving the turn ok here? I think I have lots of fold equity and I have plenty of outs if I do get called.

I'm a weak-tighty trying to transform my game but finding that I still have lots to learn. Any help appreciated!

Shoving turn IMO would be a gross overbet with little value. You would be risking $22 to win $2.5 of your opponents money.

A pot size bet would probably have the same effect.

Actually, I used to normally PSB on the turn but thought that if that gets called and the river is a blank, then I'd really have no choice but to give up the pot on the river.

By shoving now on the turn instead of betting pot, I think I give myself the best chance at the winning the pot.

Agree? Disagree?

The goal of poker isn't to win the most pots. Shoving here wins the pot a little more than a PSB does, but it loses a ton more money when villain calls.

he obviously hit the Ace or something so shoving here probably not a good play. IMO make a pot-sized semi-bluff bet and if called and you miss it will leave you with enough to make a credible River bluff but you have to know that your opponent will lay down his hand if he knows he's beat.

Fold preflop. Raise the flop, you have a gutshot FD and your equity against a lone ace is pretty good.

As played, check call something decent but checkfold to a PSB, you have like 40% equity now. To those saying bet the turn I think you are over-estimating our FE here, he is never letting go of an Ace.

I dont like risking our entire stack for the smallish pot out there right now. If you feel you have a ton of fold equity. use his aggression against him. I think a CRAI may be better. if he pots the turn, that puts $11 out there and you could push for about $15 more than his $5 bet.

raise or fold it preflop
