checking turn after betting flop: habit turned leak?

Playing mainly $25NL I learned checking the turn with marginal to good but not monster hands was a good way to eliminate some tough decisions and set up for more value bets on the river. But now I do this almost religiously. I would love to hear some serious pros and cons to checking the turn after betting a connected flop.
Any help much appreciated in advance.

it's all really opponnent, table, and texture dependent

sometimes its good. You should not be checking the turn with TPGK against 40-50 vpip guys. also if the flop has draws and I have a hand thats vulnerable, yeah Ill bet the turn again with a Tp hand. but yeah post examples.
