Fold barring a major read on villain. I have to think that his range is quite narrow here, something like 99+, AJ+.

If you have 6 clean outs, then you very nearly have the odds to call. Of course, you won't always have 6 outs when behind (you could be up against AJ, for instance), but then on occasion you'll actually have the best hand versus a shorty push. This may be a rare thing, but you don't have to have the best hand very often to make calling the play.

Readless, I think a call is fine here. If Villain really flopped big, you'd think he'd give you a chance to c-bet instead of leading into you. So I'm thinking there's a really good chance you're up against a hand like 88. And you don't really have the odds to call against a pair, especially if that pair could be, say, KJ (and it could), but I suspect that the chances you're up against an AQ or T9s hand that's taking a stand make up for that.

I agree with calling being fine. It's probably a high variance play but I think you are good pretty often.

I honestly have lack of experience in such situations - but will your average (unknown) villain call 3$ more pf and push the flop after your 3bet with AT/T9s and similar hands? I'd doubt that and expect him to have a pp, KJ, AJ etc. very often. I'd fold this without a read ...

Yes, you are pot committed.

You are getting ~3/1 on your money, may already have the best hand, and probably have 25% equity if you are behind. Certain call.

This call is very slightly -EV. Its super thin and folding is justifiable. Pot odds are like 2.6:1.

Wow is that way too narrow. He limp/called off 1/3 of his stack. That isn't the hallmark of an expert player. He could well have a PP, any PP. He could also have a couple of unpaired high cards. An unpaired A. Lots of things.

That said, I think a call here is pretty thin. I don't know that it makes any difference results-wise in the long run. I would call because I want to know what he's playing and note it in case I run across him again.

I usually call, but I also double up a lot of shortstacks /images/graemlins/smile.gif I think you'll see random crap like KT enough to make calling fine.

I FOLD...I think it's even more -EV when you take the rake into account...Villain is unlikely to be bluffing any unpaired hand worse then AK...

While it appears that villain's donk is a steal at first glance, ask yourself what sort of hand he could be limp-calling off 1/3 of his stack with that you beat. I think this is a clear fold.
