bet turn for value. Only check behind to induce a bluff against an aggressive player whose betting range is wider than his calling range.

id probably bet turn here for value and also to protect from draws, if villian calls then im probably value bettin river as well

I think the turn check for pot control is fine. You can bet for value, that's fine too. If you check the turn, you are calling his river bet and betting for value if he checks. You checked to control the pot, not because you thought he had your hand beat.
