The following two hands happened within one round. I have two questions.

Villian had 3 bet me just a little while before this, so I was thinking that he 3-bet light, but I still knew he'd c-bet big and I'd have a hard time calling if I missed a set .

1. Should I be calling such huge raises preflop with a pocket pair ?

2. Am I a nit for folding the second hand? I've been thinking that maybe I should have pushed preflop - but I wasn't sure if he was steaming or actually had something like a pocket pair. So I really didn't feel like a coin flip with a whole buy-in.

Hand 1, not entirely sure i'd call preflop, not sure what benefit that has. Reraise or fold in my opinion.

Hand 2, seems fine.

What is your reasoning for doing the opposite of this?

HAND 1: Villain 3-bets light so JJ is a pretty easy call and we have position so we can play the hand well.

HAND 2: AK sucks to lay in a 3-bet pot. because if u hit your hand, QQ isn't going to pay u off. if u do decide to call with it oop, then u should be check-raising a ton of flops especially flops like this where both our overcards are likely to be good.

In the case of the second hand, how often are you check raising here?
