yoren8 ?

I have not been that active. Villain has only been around for two orbits or so. Not much of a read.

Villain called very quickly preflop and led for 1200 fairly quickly. I'm not considering folding, but I am considering playing for pot control.

1) What do you think villain's preflop range is from sb?
2) What do you think his range is now that he's bet 1200?

I think you have the best hand so often you need to raise for value. I probably make it 5.5k to go.

1) Any pair, SCs, low broadway connectors. Really wide, this cheap agaisnt a guy with a lot of chips.
2) More or less exactly the same - from air to sets.

Well, that my range in his shoes and I donk relatively often out of the blinds because it's cheap and makes people's life really awkward - am I begging you to raise into my two pair+, just pricking around with my big stack and middle pair or aiming to draw cheaply but three-betting your stack if you won't let me?

Gotta raise. He's often really weak here, so don't expect a huge amount of value, but if you make it like 5.5k he'll call with a FD and usually Tx. If you're calling, it's a slow play, not pot control, and given the size of his flop bet, slow playing isn't going to get you any chips.

I think a raise to around t6000 is fine. Obviously call a push if he shoves and I'd generally push the turn if checked to (and he calls obv). I wouldn't be too concerned with a flush draw if he calls the raise and then checks the turn if its a diamond. I'd expect the random tourney donk to jam on the flop with the flush draw in order to see two cards so I'm likely pushing every turn card if checked to and calling a push on every turn card if he jams.

i make it 4700 but raise size varies on what amount i think looks more bluffy to him. i find this type of lead is a draw/weak pair with equal and high frequencies, air/top pair type stuff with an equal but smaller frequency, and a better hand than aa w/ a very small frequency.

Do not play for pot control, Make a biggish raise and be willing to get it allin. I don't know what they have, but most of the time it won't beat AA /images/graemlins/smile.gif

fold and get a hobby that you don't suck at if you're not willing to stack off here.
