Since the hearing on the UIGEA went so well I think there is a pretty decent chance of online poker eventually being legalized. However, is there any prediction on how long it would take for such a bill to be passed through Congress?

IF it gets passed it won't be passed conventionally. I think the best chance is a late term must pass appropriations bill with this as a rider. UIGEA style. The term should run later this year as its a non election year. Frank actually tabled his bill im committee for lack of votes. Check back after June 19th. I think that is Sunday, but it is the deadline for filing for compensation for a US gaming recommittmen under GATS at the WTO. If dozens of countries sign up, look for people with heavy farm and steel constituencies to be up in arms. If the WTO thing is a total bust and letdown, look in October.
