I don't have a Facebook account, so forgive my ignorance, but isn't it geared towards high school and college students? If so, why would it be good for online poker to be associated with this?

As I understand it, facebook is now trying to compete with myspace and has opened its doors to anyone.

Yes, this is correct. Damn social networking sites...there's a chat box on poker sites for this very reason.

Your ignorance is noted, and forgiven. It's open to everyone.

FWIW, a recent 'electric grassroots movement' carried out on facebook resulted in my favorite band (http://www.mule.net/) booking a show in my city's humble jazz and blues festival this fall. Without the organization and support of the facebook group this NEVER would have happened.

I'm obviously not saying that it will work in this case, in fact it may be moot in light of the PPA and recent political action, but how could it hurt?
