Many of us vote for people we support, rather than simply lining up behind the front-runner.

I just made the first campaign donation of my life.

When Bill Maher says a republican from Texas "is my new hero" its either the beginning of something exciting or a clear sign that the end is near...

Interesting. There's also the possibility he'd run as a Libertarian, as he did in 1988. That's probably more likely, as he's already a member of the party. Also, Libertarians typcially get on all 50 state ballots. If he does run as a Libertarian, it will probably be their best result to date.

I hope he runs. We could use the voice.

supporting the legalization of online poker/gambling may have little or no chance, but at least we can try.

before and after we vote for ron paul we can write letters to the D & R's and let them know why we are voting for him. Maybe it will make a difference.

not to troll or anything, but your voting for pres. just on the stance of online gambling?! I think there are more important issues and this guy doesn't have a prayer.
Vote Democrat!!!
I will not waste my vote just to voice my opinion on online poker even though it means a lot to me. This election is way too important for that imo.
Nader has a better chance than this guy /images/graemlins/grin.gif
(and i will vote for nader if hillary/republican is my choice)

I'm with Paul on nearly every single issue.

I'm sick of these globalist corporate puppets running the show.

Thanks. Too bad it's from Tuesday. Were it live, I'd call in and ask him about Friday's hearing.

No, he has already said he won't run if he doesn't get the republican nomination.

Rumor going around is that Paul raised $5 million in the last two months. That would move him from a 3rd tier candidate to a 2nd tier candidate. It's not enough to win, but its enough to make some noise.

Yeah but instead of wasting your time and effort pick one of the big 4 that will help poker the most and go with it.
Instead of spamming crappy ron paul stuff

He was on Realtime with Bill Maher again on May 25th and Maher was being all sorts of positive about him. This is the second time since March he was on Mahers show and another week he mentioned Paul in a very positive manner. Not to mention Mahers 99% liberal audience was VERY enthusiastic about Paul. He had a good interview on The Daily Show too.

I think if hell froze over and he managed to get the Republican nomination he could get quite a few liberals to vote for him.

Conservatives, Moderates and Liberals are all sick of the BS that goes on in D.C. and Paul is the only candidate on either side who actually has a track record that backs up his claims.

That's why there's never change. I believe in Paul's message, so I'll support him. Barry Goldwater had no chance in 1964, but the movement he started led to Reagan's victory in 1980.

As for the "big four", who do you suggest we get behind? None help poker. None are true conservatives in that none believe in limited government. None believe in the Constitution.

We don't have to be sheep and vote for front-runners, you know. I'd like to send the Republican Party a message that rank-and-file Republicans don't like this big government party. Voting for Paul helps set this in motion, and it helps poker at the same time.
