I just recently started playing 25NL again after taking a long break where I spent most of my time playing SNG's. I had only been at the table for like 10 minutes so no real information other than what you're seeing here.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php) from FlopTurnRiver.com (http://www.flopturnriver.com) (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($23.30)
CO ($7.95)
Button ($35.75)
SB ($3.25)
BB ($7.15)
UTG ($27.35)
UTG+1 ($13.45)
MP1 ($7.40)
MP2 ($24.65)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP1 calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $1, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP1 calls $0.75.

Flop: ($3.35) J/images/graemlins/heart.gif, A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 2/images/graemlins/heart.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
MP1 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $4.5</font>, MP1 folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $10</font>, Button calls $5.50.

I really had no idea what do to here when he raised to $4.50. Spots like this are what I typically have trouble with. In the past I would have probably either pushed or just called in this spot. He paused for a few seconds before calling my reraise.

Turn: ($23.35) 4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $12.3 (All-In)</font>, Button folds.

Final Pot: $35.65

Probably should post in Full Ring....

The line looks ok to me, you could just 3-bet shove the flop. Turn is an auto push with what you have left.

The 1/2 pot 3-bet probably is better than a shove. If you shove, I'm thinking Villain will generally fold worse aces and call with aces up or better. Which sort of defeats the purpose of the push. Whereas if you make a smallish 3-bet, Villain will tend more often (than when facing a push) to call with a worse ace or with a completely beaten flush draw.

So . . . nice hand.

Just calling the flop raise does also seem like an option to me, but I think you probably have too much hand for that, really, and it would suck if it turned out that what you were facing was a cheap-showdown raise that Villain followed with a turn check.
