When is it ok to move up a level

Hi i currently play $1/2 sng/mtt $10NL cash.
I have grinded my self from $17 to $250 and im trying to work out when it is safe to move out of the limit im playing in and moving up to the next limit safely.

20 buy ins is the established level, but I moved up to 25 NL after 10 or so because I knew I could crush it.

thanks man. Im really confident in playing the lower limits and i do look forward to getting to Medium stakes on ftp one day.
