Headsup I wouldn't bother. Also you have very serious showdown value. I don't think he's folding too many better hands.

reads?

I don't like this if he is not calling with 9T or A9... and even then I am not sure if I like it for gigablock reasons.

I don't get it.

I don't think he folds much that beats TPWK to a half pot raise allin. You may sometimes fold a better hand and sometimes get called by a worse hand, but a flat call is probably better.

showdown value greatly outweighs FE here i think. his underbets could mean a lot of hands, but one thing they do mean is that hes probably bad, and bad players don't often fold better than JT here

I don't think you're bluffing here. I also find a raise on the flop or turn

Jesus raise the turn.

i play it the same until you shove.. he's not folding an overpair -- and he doesnt have one all that often; just call.

I think the turn raise sucks he folds 90% of worse hands

Then turn it into a semibluff instead of waiting to bluff the river.

I don't think he ever folds a worse hand.

Calling him down seems fine. Raising the turn can be good against specific opponents

This definetely isnt a bluff. People don't fold overpairs and your hand is good a lot of the time.

I don't know what leads you to believe that this isn't a raise where nothing we beat is calling and nothing that beats us is folding. The chance Villain folds KJ/QJ isn't outweighed by all that beats us.

Is this a thinly veiled proponent of the AEJones Merge Theorem? /images/graemlins/cool.gif

But what do you bluff him off? OK, with a read that this guy can fold TPGK and is mortally afraid of flushes and/or dearly attached to his TL, I can see this, maybe, sometimes, but that's going to be a pretty specific read. I also think he bets his hand harder on the turn if he's ahead and scared.

Ummm... what? So you're bluff shoving like half pot with TPMK. It's a bluff because he probably folds a split and JQ/KJ, but that's such a small part of his range and you need him to fold 33% of the hands in his range that beat you. No [censored] way.

I just take his river bet as a semi/blocking bet. I usually think it's best to shove over blocking bets as yes I may have the best hand but I can think of a few he folds that I want to fold.

On this hand he tanked for pretty much his whole timebank and called with 33, which makes me feel good about my move if it takes him that long to call with bot set I can get more hands to fold then most people think.
