Bet that Turn $3.5. You want to build a pot.
No, you can't get away from this.....

You have to bet the turn!and indeed, no way you get away from this.

I bet the turn, because he hasn't shown any aggression and I have no reason to assume that he will bet the river. And I don't get away from this.

the reason i thought i could get away from this, is that you can maybe even push this guy off AA on the flop. and he couldnt raise with a 3, and he wouldnt stack off with over pair. So he had to have 77 or 88

fold flop. he has 77 obv.

seriously though. I think it should be sticky somewhere.
No Limit Texas Holdem with 100BB stack is the game where the person with smaller set is obligated to give his/her stack to opponent with higher set.

When you have set in raised pot(and pot always will be raised when you have set, as we raise all pockets pre right?) you just stick it in and go on to next hand(unless 4 to str8 or 4 to flush are present)

Just don't think about getting away form sets and focus on other aspects on your play - it will do you only good.

And why do you expect him not to broke with overpair? I think this is perfect flop to stack off with AA/KK.

You will never push someone off AA on a board like this on 25NL. That's true for any overpair, probably. I don't really get why he couldn't raise with a 3 here. But anyway, he would have raised it on the turn probably and you'd be delighted he did so. He probably would do the same with AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, A3, K3, whatever3. You pwn his range hard, because ONLY 3 combos of 77 and 1 combo of 33 beat you at that point.

yeah but this dude turned out to be really really tight. and that river push kinda gave it away. I got my stack in, and will do it again every situation like this, but i strongly felt i was beat here.

IME, especially overly tight players will push that river with big pairs like no other.
