Uncalled bet of $1.00 returned to MP2

Pot Size: $13.15 ($1.30 Rake)

MP2 had 9/images/graemlins/club.gif 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif (four of a kind, Nines) and WON ( $5.35)
Hero had A/images/graemlins/heart.gif A/images/graemlins/club.gif (two pair, Aces and Nines) and LOST (-$6.50)

Aside from the river (especially because I was all-in before that and trips are more likely to show up than quads) did I play this poorly? Bit unsure how I could have done this differently. Since hindsight is 20/20 I guess I could say fold pre-flop, but seriously, it wasn't much more to call the re-raise on the flop, especially relative to what I had in there and the pot.

Cracked. Get it in on the flop. All kinds of draws.

Heh. Look guys - a min-raise that wasn't a draw! Ugh. I hate this game sometimes.

But yeah, just push the flop after the min-raise. This will be a draw way more often than a set.

Do you have PokerTracker? That would be your only savior. If you knew enough about this player to know he had to have a great hand.

1. Reload pre-hand to $10

2. Add the limper to your preflop size, raising to $.5

3. Get it in on the flop.

And 4. for christ sake go sit at a 6-max table. This hand is also posted in the wrong forum.

It should be in the Full Ring shortstacking forum.
