Villain is 53/20 over only 15 hands. I hadn't really had a chance to observe enough of his play to have a feeling for how he played post flop. I was getting really scared as this hand went on, but maybe that's because I'm feeling so beaten down right now. Is this ok or did I need to slow down?

I think I check/call the river to ensure I don't get blown off my queen and induce bluffs. As you played it looks like it worked out ok, unless he's playing AQ like a fish.

I considered checking the river. But there were two things that dissuaded me. One was potentially missing a value bet - that's one of the worst things that can happen right? The other possibility is that he does bluff at it, but he bluffs by shoving his whole stack in. Now what do I do? I think the check-to-induce-a-bluff works better if he has fewer chips or I have a stronger hand.

Actually, giving it some more thought I think you are right. If we have AQ then a river check might be appropriate. Keeping control of the pot size with a river lead makes it a pretty easy fold to a raise and gets value from hands like QJ/QT.

I like it.

You would call a reasonable bet, fold to a push I assume?
