I think this is a good example why playing QJ in early position raising isn't a very good idea. If you get called you could easily be dominated I'd much rather be limping behind a bunch of limpers or opening from the button with this hand. I would not play this hand like this pre flop.

I'd prolly bet fold turn. Check call 3/4 or less pot bet on blank river.

Hero's in the CO, hardly EP.

I'll respond to the hand but I have to eat dinner first.

When you say "Check call 3/4 or less pot bet on blank river." Do you mean if villan just called our turn bet or what?

i don't think it's a bad fold oop, but you're prob ahead quite a bit of the time here. bet-folding ok too, but it might put you in a similar situation except worse on the river (ie if he just calls again)

Given your read though and how he could easily be on a straight or flush draw why the fold? I'd lead out again on the turn. Not sure if that's right but knowing my own tendencies that's what I'd do if the guy was somewhat retarded, he's not betting enough to shut out a draw so he could easily be drawing himself.

Advice to better lines or explaining your reasoning here appreciated.

Yeah I misread it I need to learn to stop skimming hands and read carefully, I don't mind the raise here I'd probably do that myself.

B/F would probably be my standard. I may have got his stats wrong, but at the time it looked more to me that there wasnt a lot in his range that he would call flop with that I beat. I guess KQ and some club draws make up quite a large proportion.
