I think your check on the river is really good actually.

Betting allows him to play optimally, raising better hands and folding worse.

Checking gives you a cheap showdown which isn't bad, or induces a bluff which I think is possible here because no draws made it. I call here 100% of the time.

[/ QUOTE ]ur thinkin is ok but this guy is passive. by checking tha river he is not bluffin much. he has 1.3 aggr. he doesnt bluff nor does he make thin river raises. if he we lead river for 2/3rds and he raises it is a super easy fold. by checking to him now we dont kno if he is valuebetting (more likely) or makin a rare bluff. so now we r guessing.

exactly wut hands do u see him raising tha river with!?!?

either line is fine and I think c/c is more valuable TBH

I asume from the title that your were worried the river gave him a set. But given action (esp pre flop) what hand can he have which has a 2 in it that wasn't already ahead by the river; taking into account the pf limp?

I know he is 64 vpip, what size sample is this over? Surely the only hand with a 2 in it he could have would be one of A20, A2s, 22, 23s...

But everyone one of these is already ahead of you before the river.. So the river doesn't change anything.. So if your going to be scared of the river then why bet turn?

Im interested to see if people follow my logic. It's late, I just saw this hand and the idea that he just made a set seemed almost impossible..

IMO well played given you called river. I like river c/c

not really woried too much about the 2 hitting and not really scared on the river, we cant predict what is goin to hit the river so that doesnt effect bettin the turn...i bet the turn for value cause i think im ahead alot plus given the drawyness of the board protection plus OOP and i hate a c/c on turn.

Ok I must of misunderstood your post a little. My bad..

But if you aren't scared on the river and, are betting the turn for value (which i agree with though think its sliim) then why aren't you betting the river for value???? Given the two changes nothing..

I prefer value bet turn then let him bluff with river as I think a good proportion of the time he has a fd and will bluff at this even given his stats.
