There is no God. Jesus didn't exist, or if he did, he was a fraud. Praying doesn't work. Religion is a joke for the uneducated masses.

These are some of the conclusions I have come to in the last few weeks.

I don't feel any differently.

I would be interested to know whether you have come to these conclusions on the grounds that there is no reason to believe the claims of Christianity? Or have you come to them from considering a constructive, rational argument for the atheist position?

As far as I understand Sklansky's beliefs, it is not that there is no God, but rather that a certain type of God that many people believe in is very, very, unlikely to exist.

Yeh but you missed his section on implied odds. The immediate odds of God exisiting are pretty poor, but if he did exist it would be awesome, so you should just pretend to belief he exists in the mean time, and if he does you will get a big pay off(in heaven).

Praying ought to be testable. If prayer works, then please construct a test whereby we can prove its efficacy.
