Worst cardroom rake?

Just curious as to what the worst rake is you guys have seen in a cardroom. My local casino the Treasury for $5/$10 stakes only ever has one 5% commission table running and the other $5/$10 tables take a $1 Ante per person, per hand (that goes to the house, not the pot).

The worst part is that until you are a regular you need to bear the Ante tables before you can even get close to the commission table (which can be up to a two hour wait)... Nightmarish...

That ante game isn't beatable.

The worst game I play in is a local charity event 1/2 NL game with 10% rake up to $7 that is rounded up once the pot reaches X5. (eg its $2 rake for a $24 pot but $3 for a $25 pot).

Treasury sucks, so does Jupiters you don't even have commission option just $1 drop on every table.

Lucky the play is disgraceful so you can still make money.

So the ante tables take 10 bb/100 in antes?! Sick! Not beatable in the long run...

I agree and disagree... If you get a hand on the ante tables you will get paid off BIG time... The only trouble is you're also going to get sucked out a lot more. You have to run really hot on these tables to make money unfortunately.

Never really done Jupiters down the Gold Coast... If I'm going that far I might as well go to the Poker Dome at Tweed.

Upon reading your site my advice is to move up to 10/20 asap It seems you have sufficent skills to still win at this level and the play is only slightly better and a lot of the time worse than 5/10 commission.

While I don't really wanna welcome any TAGs to the game as I personally play it a fair bit you might help start a game off a lot earlier than it does when I'm in playing thus not having to endure 5/10 ante game which as discussed is not particularly profitable.

Try Crown Melbournes $5/10 game 10% capped at $10!!

I used to beat this for 1bb/hr and I was so much better than everyone else it was absurd!
