Should I just call instead of 4-betting? If I four-bet how much. I pushed flop figuring I was screwed, but might fold out AK, or even JJ/TT? If I check for the free card, I have to fold unless I hit on turn. Is that a better idea?

These kind of AK hands where I get 4-bet or I do the 4-betting always make me feel lost.

Call his 3-bet pre-flop and use your position to play some real post-flop poker.

As played flop shove is fine imo.

I'd call the 3-bet preflop in position and go from there. As played, meh, your shove is less than 1/2 pot. I doubt he's folding. I think if you're going to 4bet, it should be a 4bet AI preflop.

pf if your gona 4bet i would just shove, or call and play with position...i just dont like the 4bet your left with not much monies and your push on the flop doesnt have much FE

AGREED: 4bet here has to be a shove, shoving asks against a 17/14/3 isnt terrible......calling in position is kind of meh here too, i just get it in for 100bb here probably.

Assume his 3-bet range is AA-QQ/AK.

He could have AK 9 ways

And he could AA 3 ways, KK 3 ways, and QQ 6 ways.

So you're behind 57% of the time on that flop. If he always calls your push, you have 31% equity at showdown. .31($41)= $12.3. So that's about the size of your bet. Roughly break-even push.

However, he might fold AK some of the time (since he has AK 43% of the time on that flop). So I like the flop push, unless you don't think he 3-bets AK pf.

Thanks for the advice, he snap called me and had QQ. I turned a king, then he started talking about how much of I donk I am, and something about joker stars. So sweet.
