I have been reading a lot of posts here recently on shoving that I think people have a misunderstanding of when your getting great value out of a shove......... Without being results oriented, i would think this is a classic spot when a shove is really great....... because villians range is super narrow to overpairs and Ak, the only hand that ever calls me here that is better is ak suited or 44...... any pair bigger plus some really bad donks will call with ak here......... on to the hand

villian is 32/6/.7 over 225 hands

Not shoving in this spot is criminal. Any A or overpair calls.

i guess a shove is fine here. to me, from villains perspective, this looks like you have a really big hand.

and i do NOT think any A is calling here.

I like the shove here, but I feel like this hand is going to be misinterpreted by a lot of lurkers and you're going to see people shoving flushes here in multiway pots.

this guy is a mouth breather who min rr pf. youre ahead like everytime here (only hand you lose to is Acxc). and i think he calls a good bit with A high bc we're obv chopping or bluffing.

the point i was trying to make is that I read lots of posts on here about shoves, liking or disliking, when you shove in a spot like this you need a spot on range of villian to make it profitable one way or the other to know how he might react....... villian has a terribly small 3bet range here....225 hands is a good enough sample for me, he probably makes a much bigger 3bet with AK, he does this for pure value, and my hunch is like 90% or greater he has aces here, 7 7 5 is a great flop for him, he checks to induce me to bet because I have position, i know this so i check back, a free card is good here, turn is good for me and the only reason i call 5.5 is because i know that if I hit an 8 or club here I probably can get his stack on the river with a shove...... i am planning on shoving a non club A or K and any 8....... when it comes I am shoving here like everytime, b/c AA is going to have a hell of a time folding here..... this was my hand analysis DURING the hand.... here is how it played out........

value shoving is better when you have a narrow range of villians hands then when you arent really very sure what villian has at all..... value betting is better then, when you value shove, you want a call, if you dont think u can get a call dont shove.....
